PhDr. Zuzana Šimoniová is
an assistant lecturer at the Department of ethics and applied ethics.
In 2004 she graduated at the Department of ethics and applied ethics
and Department of English and American studies, Faculty of humanities,
Matej Bel University. The major of her studies was philosophy - specialization
in ethics in combination with English language and literature.
During her studies she was working at the training centre of applied
ethics. In 2003 and 2004 she participated on Student Scientific Activity
and won the first price.
Her interest is especially in business ethics and the ethics of leadership.
Her works deal also with problematic of institutes and centres of applied
ethics in USA, Australia, Canada and Asia.
In 2003, she spent her summer internship at Ukrop's (company that is
every year evaluated as one of the 100 best companies to work for in
USA by magazine Fortune.) During her stay she also visited University
of Richmond, Richmond, Virginia, USA.
The theme of her diploma work was The Ethics of Leadership. Now, she
is interested in institutionalization of ethics in Slovak organizations.
This problematic is corresponds also with the theme of her dissertation.
She teaches 5 subjects at the Department of ethics and applied ethics
- business ethics, social and ethical analyses, multimedia communication,
practical exercises, English language. She is responsible person for
implementation of e-learning at Faculty of humanities, Matej Bel University,
Banska Bystrica.
She actively participate on domestic and international conferences which
interests are in the field of applied ethics.
